I had one of the best weekends of my life the last few days.
About 700 things in my life are completely up in the air right now. I could blame the economy or any number of other factors. There is no one to blame officially.
Among my options is a theoretical move to another place in the country entirely. If that’s the case I will obviously roll with the punches. However, the place that I currently live is absolutely wonderful. The climate is horrible but the people here are unforgettable and absolutely irreplaceable.
This sounds very weird, but I have found a handful of people with whom I can sit and do absolutely nothing. Loving them is easier some days than others, but it’s almost always easy and it’s always worth it. I feel tested by the pressures of the unknown, and I feel simultaneously like the luckiest person that ever lived.
Friends, I could never thank you enough for 10 people around a lunch table, hordes of people excited for karaoke, live music in my living room, hours of thrifting, the loud music bus and bad TV. Never mind the fact that you support me when I am at my worst and celebrate me when I am at my best.
Like I said, luckiest person that ever lived.
